José Antonio Torre recognized as one of Mexico's 30 Most Sustainable Minds 2024
The Director of the Center for the Future of Cities at Tec de Monterrey is an ally of Foro Mar de Cortés, participating in the last two editions of the Summit organized by this civil society organization.

For his work in researching, designing and implementing better ways to plan, manage and leverage the role of the city like sustainable platform, José Antonio Torre Medina Mora was recognized by Forbes Mexico as one of the 30 Most Sustainable Minds 2024 from Mexico.

The prestigious magazine specialized in business and finance emphasized that this editorial exercise seeks to recognize the people who contribute with their activity to promote the issues related to the sustainability in the creation and evolution of businesses, as well as in the public policy of the country and other regions of the world.

He explained that the recognized profiles are based on an editorial selection based on nominations from organizations and research on the national and international recognition of individuals through awards or their inclusion in other prestigious lists in the field of sustainability and the environment.

To carry out the selection of the 30 most sustainable mindsForbes indicated that it adhered to the following criteria:

  • People who contribute to the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda.
  • Additional indicators identified by each organization for selection.
  • Establishment of the best possible balance in the selection of profiles considering the five axes of the 2030 Agenda: Peace, Prosperity, Planet, People and Partnerships.
  • Sectors involved: private initiative, activists, academia, civil society and international organizations.

Torre Medina Mora holds a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and Master in Administration from the Harvard University. He has led urban transformation initiatives such as DistritoTec, Campana-Altamira y Tlalpan District. He has also rendered his services and talents in the Federal Government, in ProMéxico and in the Ministry of Economy as Coordinator of Advisors and Undersecretary of Competitiveness.

The leader in urban transformation and sustainability once again participated in the recent Summit 2024 Cities with a Future.
