German agency promotes sustainable buildings in Sinaloa
The German Society for International Cooperation has already had meetings with state authorities and the municipality of Guasave to promote the Energy Efficiency in Buildings Program.

Representatives of this organization have already held meetings with the authorities of the Secretary of Welfare and Sustainable Development and with some municipalities, such as Guasave.

The Municipal Planning Institute of Guasave emphasized that through the Building Energy Efficiency Program (PEEB), GIZ aims to implement incentives to the sustainable buildings adopting environmental certification.

The projects implemented through this program will be financed partially or totally with public funds, and technical assistance will be provided to governments, particularly territorial governments, to develop incentives for the promotion of green buildings.

The PEEB program addresses the panorama of building in Mexico to move on to the approach of sustainable building, for which, in favor of the decarbonization The built environment has instruments used internationally in the field of sustainable building.

Implan Guasave highlights the rules, regulations, economic and market factors, tax incentives and support, information and voluntary actions, as well as the country's panorama in terms of financial and non-financial incentives applicable to promote sustainable construction.

"The current administration would be a pioneer in its territory by implementing measures that contribute to mitigate the impact of buildings on the environment. The aim is for municipalities to provide legal certainty to investors and builders to promote sustainable construction, with facilities such as reduced permitting and paperwork times," he adds.

This program contemplates tax exemptions, the withdrawal of permits or procedures, which are derived from regulatory instruments such as the construction regulations.
