According to Millenniumthe world's largest bakery company is holding a recruitment day this Friday at Victoria CityThe activity has been coordinated with the National Employment Service.
The call launched by Bimbo and promoted by the SNE indicates that the job offers for people with disabilities are for the sales area, warehouse assistant and self-service store promoter.
Grupo Bimbo signed an agreement with the National Employment Service and the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare to promote jobs for people who face greater barriers, so it is expected that after this Friday's recruitment day, more vacancies will be made available for this sector of the population.
According to data from the 2020 Census of Population and Housing of the INEGIin Mexico there are 20 million 838 thousand people with disabilities, representing 16.5% of the population, of which 2.5 million are of working age, however, only about 750 thousand are employed.
Forbes highlights that this population group experiences an unemployment rate twice as high, men are twice as likely as women to be employed, and the income gap is 33.5% in relation to people without disabilities.
Bimbo exposed Business Leader that the labor inclusion program generates talent attraction, positive impact on the commitment, permanence and development of its employees; diversity of thought and broadening of perspectives in the work teams; strengthening of the culture and person-centered beliefs; greater empathy in leadership, and greater closeness with its consumers and clients.
