Alva Gómez graduated in 1972 with a degree in Chemical Engineer in the National Autonomous University of Mexico and subsequently studied for a master's degree in Business Administration in the University of the Americas.
He began his working life at Cervecería Moctezuma, where for 10 years he held various management positions in the areas of Logistics, New Business Development, Planning and Marketing.
In 1986, he joined the PepsiCo Group, where he headed different divisions for 24 years, until becoming President of Latin America and a member of its global Executive Committee.
From 2011 to 2020 the visionary entrepreneur served as Rector of the. Monterrey Technological Systemwhich includes the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), the Universidad Tec Milenio, the Universidad Virtual and Tec Salud.
Recently, Alva Gomez founded the business incubator Novo Capitalwith which he has supported and encouraged numerous business projects. He is also a board member of OMA, Grupo Aeroportuario Centro Norte; member of the Latin American Businessmen's Organization (CEAL), and has served as president of more than 10 national and transnational companies.
