Peacebuilding expert to participate in Summit 2023 of the Sea of Cortez Forum

With field experience dating back to the 1970s, Jenny Pearce is an expert in the peace building and will be present at the Summit 2023 Prosperity: A Possible Purposewhich will organize Sea of Cortez Forum from November 8 to 10 in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.

Political scientist specialized in Latin AmericaPearce is a research professor at Latin America and Caribbean Centerof The London School of Economics and Political Science. It works with anthropological and participatory research methodologies on social change, violence, security, power and participation in the region and beyond.

It is considered a peace scholarcommitted to the theoretical development of the field of peace, power and violence, as well as to empirical study. She has conducted fieldwork since the 1970s in Uruguay, El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia, MexicoChile, Brazil and Venezuela.

In 2003 and until 2014 he established and managed the International Center for Peace Studies Participation in Peace Studies and in 2013 established a Bradford Community College with the Economic and Social Research Council and the financing of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

Pearce's research has focused on understanding participation and social agency for change; theorizing violence and security in Latin America; the impact of violence on agency and action; and violence theory. He has co-developed participatory methodologies for violence and security research (Violence, Social Action and Research).
